Private Lessons starting at $50.00 a Month

Jeff has developed a new approach to save students the costly expense of driving back and forth to lessons every week. Students come once or twice a month (the student’s choice) for 45 minutes to 90 minutes. The students learn more and spend much less time and expense going back and forth to lessons. Most music instruction is once a week. The industry has been designed this way so teachers and music companies can make more money for less instruction. Students will also be able to record their performances on CD on site at Jeff Whittington Studio to aid in the learning process. This can be a very motivating experience.

Educational Programs/Edutainment

Jeff Whittington has developed a very unique cultural arts enrichment program that is available for elementary and middle schools.

This performance features a 5-string banjo, acoustic guitar, hammer dulcimer, harmonica, mountain dulcimer, dobro, autoharp, steel guitar, and vocals.

Jeff demonstrates what each instrument sounds like and gives some simple history of the instruments themselves. At the closing of the program, Jeff will have a student from each grade come on stage for an unforgettable experience. The students really enjoy this portion as they cheer for their classmates and their newfound musical abilities.

**Please note: This program is best facilitated in back-to-back performances, i.e. (K-1-2) and (3-4-5).

Jeff performs for Cox Mill Elementary.

Wedding & Ceremonies

Make your wedding a truly memorable day by using the hammer dulcimer in your ceremony. This unique instrument is the musical father of today's piano. It is played with wooden strikers called hammers and produces a sound like a harp but with the clarity of piano.

Jeff Whittington can provide just the right mix of musical selections leading up to your processional, ceremony and the unforgettable recessional. Outdoor weddings are also easily facilitated.

Because music plays such an important role in your wedding, the hammer dulcimer is truly an outstanding choice for your special day.

Download a sample of the Wedding March.

(Please right-click Wedding March and select "save target as" to a directory such as "My Desktop or My Documents." Due to internet buffering, the sound quality will be sacrificed if you choose to listen by left-clicking. After downloading, double click the mp3 file to listen to sample.)

If you are interested in using Jeff for your services (weddings, receptions, or any kind of formal gathering) you may contact him via the contact links in the above menu or click here to proceed to the contact page.
